Connecting, versions, resource packs, and what to do when something looks broken.
What do I need to play?
Minecraft: Java Edition. The park uses features the Bedrock client does not have, so a phone or console copy will not connect.
What is the server address?
play.magicparks.us — the gates open to the public on May 4th 2027. Save it somewhere you will find it again.
Which version should I run?
The server runs a specific Minecraft version and your launcher will refuse to connect on the wrong one. Set your profile to match before you try.
Do I need the resource pack?
Yes, and accept it when prompted. It carries our ride vehicles, signage and custom models. Without it a lot of the park renders as plain blocks.
Why is a ride showing as closed?
Either it is genuinely not built yet, or it is temporarily down. Statuses are set by hand, so there is a chance one is simply out of date — the build status page is the fullest picture.
Most of the site says “Not Yet Open”. Is anything actually there?
Yes. Seven attractions run properly today, with real queues, real vehicles and cued audio. The rest of the catalogue is the plan, listed openly so you can see where it is going. Whatever is finished by May 4th 2027 is what opens with the park.
Can I build here?
No — the park is not a creative server, and it has taken a long time to get the details right. If you would like to build with us, there is a page for that.
Is there a Discord?
Yes — the Magic Parks Discord is where announcements, build progress and downtime notices land first, and it is the quickest way to reach us.
You can also link your Minecraft account to it. Run /discord link in game, then /link in Discord and enter the six-character code it gives you. Your park rank carries across to your Discord roles on its own. The code lasts ten minutes, /discord status in game tells you whether it worked, and /unlink in Discord undoes it.
Something is broken. What do I do?
Tell us at help@magicparks.us — say what happened, where, and roughly when. If something is broken in your favour, tell us anyway — we would rather thank you than ban you.
Is this affiliated with Disney?
No. Magic Parks is an independent, non-commercial fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by The Walt Disney Company.
Still stuck?
