Plan Your Visit
Everything you need to know before your first visit — what to install, how to connect, and how to spend your first hour.
Magic Parks is a Minecraft server. There is no ticket, no queue at a turnstile and nothing to buy — but there are a few things worth knowing before you arrive.
Before You Arrive
- You will need Minecraft: Java Edition. The park is built for Java and uses features the Bedrock client does not have.
- Run the right version. The server runs a specific Minecraft version; connect with a matching client or your launcher will refuse.
- Accept the resource pack. The park ships a custom pack with our own ride vehicles, signage and models. Without it, a lot of the park will look like plain blocks.
- Turn your render distance up. Twelve chunks or more if your machine will take it. Half the park is the view.
Getting In
Magic Parks opens to the public on May 4th 2027. Until then we are in the last stretch of construction — building the final attractions, fixing the things only we notice, and making sure the whole place holds together with people in it.
When the gates open on May 4th 2027, this is the address you will need. There is nothing to sign up for in the meantime; just keep it somewhere you will find it again.
A Good First Hour
- Come in through the main entrance and walk up Main Street rather than teleporting. It was designed to be approached on foot.
- Ride the WEDway PeopleMover first. It is the cheapest way to work out where everything is.
- Do Pirates of the Caribbean twice. You will not catch it all the first time.
- Be somewhere near the castle by nine in the evening.
Coins
Riding attractions earns coins. There is no way to buy them and nothing to pay — they are simply a record of what you have ridden, and they unlock a few things around the park. Most rides pay five coins a go.
Playing Nicely
The park has taken a very long time to build and it is not protected against every possible act of enthusiasm. Please do not break, place or rearrange anything, do not try to get behind the scenes, and stay seated on the rides until they let you off. See the park rules for the full list; it is short.
